Seismic Lockdown

Every spell you cast taps something, and everything tapped dies for one mana — a control deck that turns the opponent's board into a parking lot.

Strategy

Azorius tap-and-punish control. Half the deck taps opposing creatures — Quake, Agent of S.H.I.E.L.D. does it every time you cast a noncreature spell, Raft Security Officer does it on demand, Spider-Woman, Secret Agent locks one down permanently with flash — and the other half kills tapped creatures at a huge discount: Super Villain Lockup exiles a tapped creature for two at instant speed, Ajani's Response destroys one for two, Magnificent End deals 5 to one for a single white. Once the board is neutralized, Kree Commandos close in the air with prowess fed by the same spells.

Roles

  • Threat: 4x Kree Commandos (flying, vigilance, prowess), Empyrean Eagle as flier lord, Captain America, Living Legend untapping your tappers so Raft Security Officer works twice a turn.
  • Removal: Super Villain Lockup, Ajani's Response, Magnificent End — all conditional on "tapped", all cheap; Web Up exiles any nonland permanent unconditionally; Procrastinate stuns for several turns.
  • Protection: Confusticate and Bebother counters or draws two; Spider-Woman and Deluge Virtuoso blank attackers on their way in.
  • Card draw: Opt keeps Quake triggering for one mana; Confusticate's draw mode; Deluge Virtuoso and Kree Commandos grow with every spell.
  • Lands: 22 lands, six duals — the deck is white-heavy with a blue splash for counters and cantrips.

Synergies & curve

Curve tops at three. The core loop: cast any cheap spell → Quake taps their best creature → flash in Super Villain Lockup or hold Ajani's Response for your turn. Opt at their beginning of combat taps a would-be attacker; Raft Security Officer plus Captain America taps two per turn; Spider-Woman is removal that also blocks. Every noncreature spell also pumps Kree Commandos and Deluge Virtuoso, so the control spells double as a clock.

On the opponent's turn: cast Opt, Quake taps their commander-sized threat, then flash Super Villain Lockup — exiled for three mana total, and you drew a card doing it.

Weak spots

Quake is the engine and dies to any removal — hold Confusticate for the spell aimed at him. Hexproof and untap effects break the tapped-creature condition. Enchantment removal hurts (Lockup, Web Up, Spider-Woman's lock). Wide token boards outnumber your tappers; against those, lean on Kree Commandos in the air and race.
