Strategy

A white-green Heroes midrange that develops a wide board, snowballs +1/+1 counters, and leans on cheap lifegain to survive aggression long enough for its bigger Heroes to dominate. It plays the long game on purpose: trade early, gain life, and let counter-synergies turn a flat board into an overwhelming one.

Synergies & curve

Almost everything cares about counters. Knight of Wundagore and Powerful Broker turn a single counter into many, Colleen Wing grows whenever you target your own team, and Take Up the Shield both protects and feeds the engine. Lifegain (Night Nurse, Brave Brawler, Invisible Woman, Sue Storm) buys time, while Ka-Zar of the Savage Land and Avengers Assemble! refill the hand. The curve is low and tops out at four, so the deck rarely flounders.

Take Up the Shield on a lone attacker — indestructible lifelink plus a counter that triggers Knight of Wundagore — blows out a block and snowballs the whole board.

Weak spots

Light on reach and evasion, so a sky full of flyers can race under the lifegain. Removal is narrow (mostly exile-on-tapped or fight), and the equipment/aura pieces are card-disadvantage if the carrier is killed in response. No countermagic to stop a haymaker.
