Strategy

A low-curve Boros (R/W) aggro deck that wants to be attacking by turn 2 and never stop. Most of the creature base has a Repartee or Opus trigger, meaning every combat trick or burn spell you cast doubles as a growth engine — Interjection and Dig Site Inventory aren't just tricks, they're fuel for a board that gets bigger every time you cast them. The plan is simple: flood the board early, protect your attackers with tricks, burn out whatever blocks, and close before the opponent stabilizes.

  • Removal: Burst Lightning, Abrade, Wilt in the Heat

  • Protection: Interjection (first strike + toughness saves attackers from trades), Dig Site Inventory (flashback keeps paying off)
  • Lands: 23 total — 2 Fields of Strife, 2 Terramorphic Expanse, 10 Mountain, 9 Plains

Synergies & curve

The deck's identity is that its removal and combat tricks aren't "spent" resources — they're triggers. Spirit Mascot, Expressive Firedancer, and Rehearsed Debater all grow or pump whenever you cast an instant/sorcery, so Interjection and Burst Lightning are doing double duty as both interaction and a buff. Aziza, Mage Tower Captain can copy your removal or tricks outright by tapping three creatures — with a board this wide, that's often free. The curve is aggressively low: two 1-drops, a dense wall of fourteen 2-drops, four 3-drop Rehearsed Debaters, and a small five-drop top end (Rearing Embermare, Lorehold, the Historian) to keep pressure on if the game goes long.

Turn 3: attack with Kirol and Spirit Mascot, cast Interjection targeting Kirol for +2/+2 and first strike — Kirol flips to prepared, Spirit Mascot grows a counter, and you're already ahead on tempo and cards.

Weak spots

The deck is very low to the ground and has almost no reach against decks that stabilize with lifegain or a big blocker — once the early rush is answered, there isn't much of a plan B beyond Lorehold and Rearing Embermare. It also has no counterspells or hard sweepers, so a well-timed board wipe from the opponent can be devastating, and the mana base leans on tapped duals early which can occasionally cost a crucial turn of tempo.
